JaNoWriMo Begins

Good evening, everyone! Welcome to 2020! Let’s make it a better year than 2019 was.

My overall progress for NaNoWriMo 2019. Though I didn’t reach 50,000 words, I did make my personal goal of 21,000 words.

Back in November, I participated in NaNoWriMo and set some personal goals for myself: write at least once a day every day, and reach 21K words. I was successful in that goal, hitting 21,052 words by the end of the month. It was a fun time for me, as well as very productive - not only did I get more posts up, but I also practiced creative writing more. It was a wonderful time.

My daily word count for NaNoWriMo 2019. I wrote an average of 701 words per day with an average writing speed of 5 words/minute.

One of the members of a writing group that I am in, Lizz, suggested that we do a self-imposed NaNoWriMo in January - a JaNoWriMo. Others have done it in the past, and so I have decided to participate because it seems like it will be just as fun as NaNo. Except I am updating my personal goals to be to write at least once a day and reach 25K words.

While I will still be doing creative writing, I plan on writing a number of posts to go up here. I will still be focusing on quality over quantity, as I want to provide the best information for you all (which is why there is sometimes a long span of time between posts).

I am looking forward to this journey, and I hope that you all enjoy what comes out of it.
