Ronald Reagan signed the Mulford Act into law in 1967 when he was Governor of California. This law was part of an effort to keep guns out of the hands of African-Americans as racial tensions in the nation grew. Gun control laws are based around what makes white people feel safe.
The NRA was originally founded in 1871 with the intention of training Civil War veterans on marksmanship and supported restrictions on who could carry guns on the streets in order to decrease hostility towards European immigrants in the 1920s and 1930s. That changed in 1977, with the Cincinnati Revolt, when Harlon Carter and his supporters took over the NRA. The NRA then began to rewrite the Second Amendment.

The post Justin shared was “Gooseberry Falls is dry. Still think it's a good idea that the DNR approved letting Enbridge pump 5 Billion gallons of Minnesota water out of our waterways?” The Gooseberry River, which drains from the Gooseberry watershed, was flowing at a lower rate than usual as drought years become more common. In Minnesota, most of our water comes from rivers and groundwater -  across the country, 18 million people get their drinking water from the Mississippi River, including the residents of Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Aside from the Mississippi, the Twin Cities major drinking water sources are the Prairie du Chien-Jordan Aquifer, the Tunnel City-Wonewoc Aquifer, and the Mt. Simon-Hinckley Aquifer. More on Minnesota’s water supply.

Evolution of languages
Eddie Izzard is genderfluid and has said she prefers she/her pronouns, but "doesn't mind" he/him. On the Discovery Channel miniseries Mongrel Nation, Eddie Izzard bought a brown cow while speaking in Old English to someone who speaks Frisian. The Frisian languages are the closest languages to English & Scots.
Shakespearean English is Early Modern English.
When printing was introduced to Great Britain, Y was used in place of Þ (thorn: Modern English th). Justin accidentally called it “thon”.

Helen Viola Jackson was the last known surviving widow of the American Civil War. There were four known civil war widows who survived into the 21st century.
