Tenga Uni Review

I purchased the Tenga Uni from Smitten Kitten here in Minneapolis; though it is available online, I prefer to make purchases in-person whenever possible. Getting recommendations from experienced people who care about what they are selling and who they are selling to is very important. While the Tenga Uni is available online from Amazon, I would advise you to get it either from a local retailer or from the Tenga website itself; if you get it from a dropshipping site like Amazon, you run the risk of getting something that is not body-safe. Here are some articles about it from LifeHacker, Medium, and Refinery29.

The Tenga Uni is advertised as being a disposable gender-neutral pleasure item. It is for external use only - it can fit on one’s fingers with the details outwards and be used to aid in clitoral stimulation, or be turned so that the details are on the inside and be used as a masturbator. It also comes with a water-based lubricant, and so it has everything you need for immediate use.

There are four designs: the Emerald, the Diamond, the Topaz, and the Amethyst. Smitten Kitten was out of the Topaz, so I will have to try that at a later date; but of the other three I tried, the Amethyst was my favorite. They each have a unique feel to them; I was honestly surprised that I was able to feel a difference between the three Unis. The sensations were odd, but in a good way - they were each stimulating and a fun change of pace, but they are not sensations that I would want to feel every day. This is something that I would want to use once in a while to keep things interesting.

They are individually affordable - when I got them at Smitten Kitten, they were $7.99 each (the Tenga website currently has them at $6.30 each, not including shipping & handling). However, Tenga recommends that it be used once and then disposed of, which is unfortunate. The packaging suggests that it is recyclable with #4 plastics; however, where I live only recycles #1, 2, & 5 plastics. I honestly can’t imagine getting these completely clean, with the fine detail on each of these, so the cost will go up if you keep buying them.

If you want a unique sensation while masturbating, and don’t mind having something that is recommended for one use only, I would recommend giving this a try. It is easy to use, and I imagine that it would be fun using it with a partner. It truly is nice to use.
